What is the profile of workers?

The profile of a worker is the most relevant professional information about a person. It is composed of the experience that they have been able to accumulate throughout their career and acquired training.

An individual can highlight their workers profile on their resume to show certain important competences for performing their duties in a specific job position.

Nevertheless, companies can prepare them according to data that has been gathered from other sources such as professional social networks or interviews of all kinds. This serves so that the HR team can analyze if a person is suitable for a job.

What is a worker profile for?

Its importance is that it has relevant information for the recruitment of personnel in a company, as you can find significant traits with which to determine if a candidate has the talent the entity needs. That is, the workers profiles make it possible to know if a candidate will fit in the entity or not.

Elements included in the profile

In a profile of an employee you can find two major segments that are important to the company:

  • Education related to the profession: where courses, degrees or master’s are listed.
  • Accumulated work experience: where everything regarding subject matter or functions is summarized.

Also, other sections can be included depending on who prepares the worker’s profile:

  • Hard skills: These are the technical knowledge necessary for a specific position.
  • Soft skills: These are desirable for any type of job.
  • Personal data: In case you need to know the place of residence for those in-person jobs.

What are the worker profiles of a company?

When choosing the right one for the company, several types of classifications can be differentiated. If the types of worker profiles in a company are used based on detected attitudes, the following stand out:

Competitive

This is a type of collaborator who can become aggressive. They usually have a great fondness for risk and always seek big profits. One of the flaws of this worker profile is a lack of attention to detail due to a desire for results.

They are easily identified, as they are willing to make any sacrifice in order to boost their professional career, looking to stand out among colleagues.

Executor

They are characterized by not feeling very motivated in decision making. In other words, they are people who prefer to execute what their superiors indicate rather than making decisions. The main interesting point of this worker profile is their ability to move from abstract to concrete through actions.

They are practical and objective professionals. However, their main disadvantage is that they tend to omit the planning before carrying out an action.

Planner

They tend to be cautious and thoughtful people, avoiding getting carried away by emotions. They evaluate all the possible consequences of the proposed alternatives. It is a workers profile suitable for commercial and administrative environments, as well as for leadership positions, due to their ability to organize.

Procrastinator

Procrastination is a trait common to many people, however, it is key to observe if this is the main characteristic. In these cases, professionals usually leave everything for later even forgetting their obligations.

It is especially important to observe this possibility in the case of people with flexible schedules or freelance.

Analytical

When talking about an analytical person, we are referring to someone who stands out for their concentration, perfectionism, and attention to detail. They are meticulous people who tend to review possible errors many times. This worker profile seeks security and stability, so working under pressure is a problem for them.

Communicative profile

If they stand out for anything, it is for their linguistic skills. They are usually employees who excel in oratory and negotiation because of the charisma they possess, making them interesting for all types of commercial jobs.

Profiles of a worker to highlight

Among the profiles or qualities to highlight are the following:

  • Dedication, related to loyalty.
  • Trust in the company and its colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Leadership and independence.
