corporate culture attract talent

5 of March, 2025

Company culture is very important in a business. It could be considered a fundamental pillar for the success of a company. It is a collective effort to unite work teams. It should be noted that it takes a lot of effort to create and maintain it over time. This very effort can be used to attract the talent you need in your company to grow. Talent is important because a company can grow significantly thanks to it. The more talented and committed the employees are, the greater the goals you can achieve.

In this regard, an important fact to keep in mind is that human resources software can back you in these cases. Sesame HR, is a specialized HR software that has different functionalities that allow you to attract talent to your company. For example, through the employee portal, you can tell your applicants why they should work in your organization. This function can be linked to your website and thus, relevant information about your organization will be displayed.

Shared corporate culture

It is well known that if most people share the same values, strength is added. The same goes for companies, and this adds a lot of value to the organization. The company culture is part of employer branding. Because of this, it should be given the dissemination it deserves. Talent often lacks, especially among the so-called ‘IT profiles’.

Therefore, finding and retaining talent can be a complicated task. For this reason, organizational culture is needed to attract candidates, even more so than salary and location. In addition to this, the younger generations no longer only look for attractive conditions. Now they focus on truly interesting projects that are in line with their values and lifestyles.

This trend is more marked among the known ‘Generation Z’. These people born since 1994, are joining the job market. This generation is demanding, they want to do really important work. They want to be part of an innovative company and at the same time, find a balance between work and personal life. Although there are some tips to attract Generation Z talent, if they later work in a company that does not meet the mentioned requirements, they will not last long in it.

The company’s culture is usually present in all instances of the organization. Its values, such as customer orientation or transparency, are shown even in the company’s products. But it is also essential to attract talent.

Importance of attracting talent

To understand the importance of attracting and retaining talent, we must consider that employees need the company as much as the company needs them. In a labor market as changing as the current one, organizations have had to start competing to keep their employees.

For this reason, it is necessary to design a talent attraction plan for the company. In this sense, there are different factors that are relevant when an employee chooses what company they want to work for. For example, a good salary, job security, a pleasant work environment, the possibility of reconciling professional life with personal life, etc. Because of this, developing an internal company culture in which workers feel that they form part of the company is essential.

Corporate culture to attract talent

If the corporate culture of your organization is well defined, it will be easy to find the correct ways to disseminate it. However, be careful. Human resources are essential in creating the company culture. But, although the HR department strives to create a captivating company culture for talent, if it doesn’t link with daily activities, it will be futile. If it doesn’t translate into actions, it will not attract employees of a company, let alone external members.

  • Apply and develop your company culture. At all times, we must be exemplary. This is achieved by being consistent in what we say and subsequently do. Your actions speak louder than your words. A company that talks about values but behaves contrary to what they express is not an attractive environment for talent.
  • For example, if your company supports conciliation, you should not respond to an email at 10:30 at night. Nor should you make it difficult for an employee to leave a few minutes earlier to pick up their kids from school. It’s essential that as a manager and company leader, you are a constant example of the organizational culture you need to create and share. Only this way, your team will adopt the company values as their own, because they will perceive sincerity and trust them.
  • Attract talent by showing the company culture. It usually happens that once inside the company, the corporate culture only impacts employees and some referred candidates. This is not enough, it needs to reach more people. It is necessary to brag about the company to attract talent. Similarly, a strategic plan must be created that allows the development of human talent to retain it. The corporate culture must be present in every aspect to be dealt with and show how committed the directors are to it.
